Description

The objective is to design, fabricate and test a strategic multi-scale nanostructured composite exhibiting high strength- and damping-to-mass ratios. This is achieved by integrating in polymeric matrices carbon nanotubes with tunable interfacial shear strengths to form a macroscopic multilayer nanocomposite.
